Description:

Day 1

8:30am: We will pick you up from your guesthouse or hotel and then drive 2 hours north to the Chiang Dao Cave and temple that is located within. You will be amazed at seeing the beautiful stalactites and stalagmites that took millions of years to form. Then stop for a lunch break. After that we will go on foot to the villages of the Akha and Lisu hill tribes, then continue through the forests on hilly paths for 3 hours to the Dara-ang hill tribe’s village.  Here you will stay overnight. While staying you will feel more relaxed and impressed with the Dara-ang's traditional ways of simple life.  After a delicious Thai dinner you will be entertained around a campfire with traditional songs and dances performed by the village children. The overnight stay is basic and traditional but comfortable.

Day 2

You’ll be awaken by the roosters of the village to the beautiful atmosphere. After a big breakfast, served at 8:00am, you will enjoy an elephant ride from your huts through the forest for approximately 1 hour which is followed by a walk for about 1-2 hours to the villages of the Pagayor hill tribe's people. From the village we will continue by truck for 15 minutes to enjoy some bamboo rafting for approximately 1 hour along the Ping River or Raming River, which flow from Northern to Central Thailand.

Afterwards, you will be driven about one hour to visit the waterfalls where you can relax in the refreshing waters and recoup after your long trek. We will then drive 40 minutes and return to Chiang Mai arriving at your hotel or guesthouse between 5:00pm – 5:30pm.
