2 Days Adventure trek at Mae Teang Area
Get out of town to spend a night in a Black Lahu hill tribe village on this Chiang Mai trek to the Mae Tang area. Really get to see the hill tribe ways as well as getting to know your fellow trekkers a whole lot better! Also get the chance to ride an elephant and take on the white water rapids of the Mae Tang River. This is an excellent trip to sample what Northern Thailand has to offer and a great opportunity to overnight in a real Black Lahu hill tribe village.
â€¢ Depart Chiang Mai at 9:30am and drive to a local market
â€¢ Market stop for trekking supplies
â€¢ Drive a further 1 hour to the start point of the trek.
â€¢ Trek for 1 hour and stop for lunch.
â€¢ Trekking for a further 3 hours. ( Hard )
â€¢ Spend the night in a local Lahu village in hut.
â€¢ After breakfast trek for 3 hours to the elephant camp.
â€¢ Ride elephants through the jungle and along the river for about 1 hour.
â€¢ Stop for lunch.
â€¢ White water rafting along the Mae Tang River for about 1 hour.
â€¢ Change to Bamboo rafting for a further half hour.
â€¢ Drive to an Akha village.
â€¢ Return to Chiang Mai around 5:00pm.
*Timings are only approximate and will vary from day to day, depending on weather conditions pace of the trekking group etc. Also an optional tour to visit Karen Long Neck hill tribe add 300 baht and you will return to Chiang Mai at 6pm.Tour Price

We recommend you
to leave your baggage at your hotel/guest house if it is available or
at our office. The less baggage you carry with you, the more you will
enjoy the program.
