Chiang Mai - Mae Hong Son 4 days 3 nights
Day 1: Chiang Mai – Mae Rim - Pai
9:00am. Our tour guide will pick you up from your place of stay in Chiang Mai. We will then drive north to the Mae Rim area. There, we will visit a non-tourist temple called Wat Pa Dara Pirom to experience the peaceful meditation center of brown robed monks before a 2 hour drive along mountainous roads that bring you to Pai. Visit a hot spring at Pong Duad Forest Park on the way and take mineral bath for half hour there before having your lunch. Afterwards we will stop at World War II Bridge that crosses over the Pai river and visit Wat Pratart Mae Yen where you can enjoy a stunning view of the Pai valley.
4:00pm: Check in Muang Pai Resort or similar accommodation depending on the availability.
7:00pm: Visit Pai Night Market.
Day 2: Lisu Market -Caves – Long Neck village - Mae Hong Son
9:00am: After breakfast and check out, we will visit the Lisu tribal market where there is a breathtaking scenic view of the Mae Hong Son Providence before going to the Pang Ma Pah district to visit Lod Cave. Nestled in the hills between Pai and Maehongson near Soppong, is Lod Cave. Also known as Tham Lot, this cave is home to large numbers of bats and swifts and is filled with stalactites and stalagmites. In Tham Lot, and other caves nearby, teakwood coffins have been discovered which are thought to have been carved by the Lawa tribespeople thousands of years ago. An interesting feature of the Lod Cave is the Nam Lang River, which flows through it. Your trip starts by boarding a bamboo raft that takes you into the cave where you can explore 3 different caves inside. Images of these caves can be found in our gallery. Upon exiting the cave you will reboard the raft and where you can feed the large schools of fish that surround you. You will be given the option to purchase a local tour guide which we highly recommend. The guide will carry a gas powered lamp that creates plenty of light for you to see and photograph the beauty of this cave. Following an hour drive we will visit Fish Cave with its thousands of carps and the beautiful forest it lays within. In the afternoon, we drive through the jungle near the Burmese Border to visit a Padong village. The Padong are a group of Karen who have elongated their necks using brass rings.
5:00pm: Stay overnight at Fern Resort or similar place of stay in Mae Hong Son. Accommodations depend on the availability.
7:00pm: Visit Mae Hong Son Night Bazaar.

Day 3: Wat Doi Gong Moo – Khun Yuam – Diamond Cave - Maesariang
9:00am: After breakfast and check out, we will visit the famous temple called Wat Pratart Doi Gong Moo built in Burmese architecture. The temple is located on the mountain where you can see the whole view of Mae Hong Son. Afterwards, take a 1 hour drive through the forest to visit a World War II Museum in the Khun Yuam district and then on to Diamond Cave with colorful limestone located in the Mae La Noi district. The end of the day will capped off with a visit to Mae Sa Riang a non-tourist town.
4:00pm: Check in River House Resort or similar hotel. Accommodations depend on the availability.

Day 4: Ob Luang Canyon – Pratart Si Chomtong – Ban Tawai – Airport
9:00am: After breakfast and check out, enjoy driving along mountainous roads, passing local communities, fertile forests, and visit a famous canyon at Ob Luang Forest Park. You will also stop at the royal temple Wat Pratart Si Chomtong in the heart of the Chomtong district built in Lanna period, 400 years ago. After that, visit Ban Tawai the popular wood carved furniture and handicraft center in the Hang Dong district before going to Chiang Mai.
5:00pm: Transfer you to Chiang Mai airport or to your hotel in Chiang Mai.
